This Ministry has appointed two Central Public Information Officers of the level of Deputy Secretary/Director under the Act to furnish replies to the general public on the queries received by them. Two Appellate Authorities of the level of Joint Secretaries have also been appointed under the Act to furnish the replies in case the applicants seeking information are not satisfied with the information furnished by the Central Public Information Officers with reference to other queries. This Ministry is implementing this Act in letter and spirit to meet the aspirations of the applicants. All efforts are made to provide information to the applicants within stipulated period of 30 days.
